Non-ViconNet NVR/DVR Systems

Vicon’s VDR products are the digital video recorders of choice for users who desire high-end features in an economical, stand alone system. Although they are not compatible with the ViconNet family of products, the VDR series does offer a variety of quality settings and recording modes, including scheduled recording and motion detection. Quadplex operation enables these feature-rich units to perform simultaneous recording, playback and network-streaming and backup. All of these functions are accessible from a user-friendly front panel controls including a convenient JOG/shuttle dial for adjustable playback speed. Live and recorded video can also be easily accessed through the Internet via web browser.

Four, eight and sixteen channel models are available with 500, 1000 or 2000 GB hard drives. Archived video can be exported by network connection, USB or on-board DVD-RW. All models are capable of recording all cameras in real-time at 720x480 resolution. The rear panels provides connection ports for hard-wired alarms and relays, four audio inputs, PTZ control, serial communication, USB socket, RJ-45 for network connection and a variety of outputs for local display including BNC, VGA and S-Video.

Vicon's HDExpress™ is a plug-and-play Network Video Recorder (NVR) designed specifically for High Definition (HD) IP cameras. The system includes PoE ports for each camera, allowing the NVR to provide power directly to a maximum of 16 cameras. The software automatically detects and configures network cameras, eliminating the need to programme any settings in the camera.

The HDExpress is optimized to work seamlessly with Vicon’s V992 high definition 1080P cameras; contact your Vicon sales representative for a list of compatible network cameras. All of the features of the camera can be configured directly through the local user interface, including zoom and focus of the lens. The HDMI 1080P/60 Hz output provides a high quality, multi-camera display.
